Start Swimming in Welland

Are you looking for a new workout for the spring and summer? Why not try swimming? It’s low impact, so it’s easy on your joints and muscles, but is also a highly effective exercise. If you’d like to try swimming in Welland, the Panoramic Properties team has rounded up a few local pool options as well as apps and online resources to help you become the best swimmer you can be. Best of all, these locations are easily accessible from Panoramic Properties’ Welland apartments at Concorde Place.

Niagara Center YMCA – Welland/Pelham

A ten-minute drive from the Concorde Place apartments, the YMCA is your best bet if you want to start swimming in the springtime. The Niagara Centre YMCA has a 25 meter dedicated lap pool as well as leisure and swirlpools.

You don’t have to swim lengths to get a great workout in the water. There’s also Aquafit, an aerobic in-water activity that includes cardio, stretching and strength training. Choose from shallow or deep water Aquafit depending on your level of comfort in the water. After your workout, be sure to pop into the on-deck sauna to help you wind down and recover. For more experienced swimmers, attend the lane swimming sessions for a great workout. Lanes are provided for fast, moderate and slow swimmers. There is also an open lane dedicated to those who prefer to swim leisurely or do water walking.
