eBooks & AudioBooks

First off, for access to all of the GSPL’s ebooks and audio books, you’ll need a Greater Sudbury Public Library Card. To get your new library card, drop into your local branch or apply online.

Through the GSPL: Anytime, Anywhere collection, digital materials are available for free download online.  In addition to your library card, users also need theOverDrive Media Console or Adobe Digital Editions. We especially love the Sudbury Library’s focus on giving readers what they want. Readers are encouraged to suggest downloadable titles to add to their expanding downloadable collection.

There’s a great collection of eBooks and audiobooks including fiction, nonfiction, children and young adult titles. There are many of popular titles like The Help and work from popular authors including John Grisham, Danielle Steele and Linwood Barclay…and that’s only the tip of the iceberg! There’s also a ton of audiobook titles available and users can listen to selected favourite audiobooks from the mobile app or via desktop.

The OverDrive Media Console lets you listen and read eBooks & audiobooks from your library on the go. The app is available via desktop and mobile platforms, including: Windows, Mac, iPad, iPhone, Android phones and tablets, Kindle, Windows 8 PC and tablet, Blackberry and Windows Phone.

In addition to books, media and online content, the Sudbury Libraries provide other community services such as: Bus Tickets/Passes, Pet Licenses, Internet (high speed/wireless), public use computers, as well as printing, scanning and photocopying.
