Get ready to turn the darkness into light, Mississauga. The third annual Diwali Razzmatazzreturns to Celebration Square Friday, October 13th, from 5pm to 11pm, and Saturday, October 14th from noon to 11pm. Panoramic Properties wants to help shed some light on this fabulous, free festival.

 

History of Diwali

 

Diwali is a major Hindu festival. It is also known as The Festival of Lights and it is celebrated worldwide. It marks the return of Lord Rama, after his victory over evil. The tradition of lighting earthen lamps serves as a promise to turn darkness into light and spread peace and prosperity.

 

Diwali Razzmatazz 101

 

Diwali Razzmatazz debuted at Celebration Square in 2015. It is the Marquee event for Diwali in the GTA. The first festival saw more than 4500 visitors come out to spread the light. The festival is organized by the federally registered not-for-profit organization; Indo Canada Arts Council. The Council is dedicated to promoting and recognizing art and cultural forms between India and Canada.

 

What to Expect

 

You can expect an illuminating and joyous celebration for the whole family at Diwali Razzmatazz. There will be rides for the kids, a Diwali bazaar, lucky draw and lots of sponsored gifts and prizes. On the stage, you can see Bollywood headliner performances, live music concerts and colourful dance performances. A variety of vendors will ensure an authentic Diwali flavour to help savour the festivities and satisfy your appetite for food and fun.
