Fall food awaits
Savour Fall at Rideau Hall showcases the incredible culinary skill of Rideau Hall’s kitchen brigade. Leading chefs team up with local culinary students to create a delicious meal for guests. From Bread-and-Butter Garden Squash to Apple Spice Cake, prepare your tastebuds for a truly seasonal fall feast. The event is free, although guests are invited to bring a non-perishable food donation for Moisson Outaouais and the Ottawa Food Bank.
A family-friendly affair
This year’s annual Savour Fall event is set for September 10th, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Plan to stay for the afternoon to make the most of the many activities on the docket, including a chance to meet with local producers and sample their delicious products. Children will love the face painting, storytime and crafts, and all ages are welcome to dance the afternoon away to live music.
For the newbies
If you’re new to the area, Savour Fall is the perfect excuse to explore historic Rideau Hall (1 Sussex Drive). The Hall has been the residence and office for the governor since 1867. Although Rideau Hall is located only a short trip from Downtown Ottawa and Gatineau, and a 15-minute drive from Baseline Court Apartments (1785-1815 Baseline Road), you’ll feel worlds away as you stroll the grounds in this beautiful 79-acre sanctuary. As a part of the festival, take a free tour, which includes access to the private gardens and greenhouses.
