Everyone loves to receive gifts. What makes the holiday season truly memorable, though, is the opportunity to give. This month, join the celebration by giving a new toy to a child in need at the annual Help Santa Toy Parade. Learn more about this extraordinary upcoming event, happening near our Ottawa apartments, in today’s post from Panoramic Properties.
A special opportunity to help
The Help Santa Toy Parade has been an Ottawa tradition since the late 1960s. The Ottawa Professional Fire Fighters’ Association organizes the parade, and thousands and thousands of visitors from near and far line the downtown city streets to give toys or a cash donation for children in need as the parade passes by. Please note that the parade only accepts new, unused toys.
Santa will be here soon
Your chance to see Santa and donate a toy is coming soon. This year’s parade will be held on Saturday, November 21st at 11:00 a.m. The parade begins on Wellington Street near the Garden of the Provinces and Territories, and travels to Bank Street and then down Laurier Avenue West. Finally, the parade will end at Confederation Park (100 Elgin Street), which is just over a 10-minute drive from Baseline Court Apartments (1785-1815 Baseline Road).
The sharing continues through December
If you cannot attend the parade, don’t worry. You can still give to the firefighters’ efforts. Through mid-December, take your toy to any Ottawa fire station. One of the nearest fire stations to Baseline Court Apartments is Fire Station 11 (135 Preston Street), just a nine-minute drive away.
Panoramic Properties is excited to share the details surrounding the spectacular Help Santa Toy Parade. We hope today’s post encourages you to attend along with your family and friends.
