Where to go skating in and around Thorold

You have been waiting all summer, and now cooler weather is finally here. It’s time to get back on the ice and start practicing for a winter of skating. For today’s post, the Panoramic Properties blog team has compiled a list of rinks near our Thorold apartments.

Skating for all

There are two ice surfaces, both indoors, located at the Thorold Community Arenas (70 Front Street North). Public skating is available here on Saturdays from 12:45 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity to get moving on the ice, whether you are a novice or an experienced skater. To get to this complex in Thorold, walk just five minutes from Front Street Apartments (40 Front Street).

Special hours for adults

For adults looking for a quieter skating experience, Thorold Community Arenas offer a non-supervised adult skating program for individuals who are 18 and older. Adult Skate hours are from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Introduce your little ones to the ice

Pre-school aged children and their parents are invited to take over the ice during Tiny Tot Skate, offered Mondays from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and again in the afternoon from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Explore new ice

Looking for new rinks to explore this season? The neighbouring city of St. Catharines is home to four arenas with eight ice pads. For example, get to know the ice at Seymour-Hannah Sports & Entertainment Centre (240 Saint Paul Street West). This option is a 10-minute drive from Front Street Apartments.

Panoramic Properties hopes that today’s post inspires you to get active on the ice this fall. For more information about our Thorold apartments, visit our website today.
